McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson College women’s tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Kansas Wesleyan University on Monday afternoon at the McPherson High School Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs are now 1-7 overall and 0-4 in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play, while the Coyotes improve to 10-6 overall and 3-1 in the KCAC.
Freshman Ashley Allmon (McPherson, Kan.) and Kara Wright (Wichita, Kan.) won MC’s lone doubles match with a 9-7 win over Rachael Renneisen and Eleda Adams at No. 2 doubles.
McPherson picked up its only other point of the day at No. 6 singles when freshman Sarah Ehrlich (Augusta, Kan.) knocked off Adams, 6-2, 6-0.
McPherson returns to action on Thursday, April 21 when they host Friends University at the McPherson High School Tennis Center. Doubles play is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. with singles matches to follow.
