Wichita, Kan. – The McPherson College women’s tennis team played its second KCAC match of the season traveling to Wichita to play the Friends University Falcons. The Falcons proved a little too much as the Lady Bulldogs fell by a 7-2 score.
In doubles, McPherson could not get much going as the Falcons dominated the first two doubles matches and eventually pulled away from the Lady Bulldogs at number three doubles.
In singles, it was much the same as the Bulldogs played well but were not able to get many sets or games to fall their way. Senior Wrylie Finkle was the one bright spot for the Lady Bulldogs as she rebounded from her doubles loss to win a convincing singles match against her opponent 6-4, 6-0.
The Lady Bulldogs have a few days off before they travel to Salina to take on Kansas Wesleyan University at a match scheduled for 4:00 p.m. (CT)
