McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson College women’s tennis team hosted their last match of the season this past Saturday against Bethany College. The Bulldogs, featuring three seniors on the squad, made it a close match but were just edged by the Swedes 4-5.
The Lady Bulldogs were able to capture the top doubles position winning that match 8-4 while dropping the other two matches for a 1-2 score going into singles play. The Bulldogs needed four of the six matches to claim the match but feel just one match short. Senior Wrylie Finkle (Wichita, Kan.) ended her regular season career going undefeated on the day as she won both her singles and doubles matches.
The Bulldogs now prepare for the KCAC individual championships being held this Saturday, April 28 in Salina, Kan.
