McPherson, Kan. – With the accumulation of snow covering the state of Kansas, both McPherson softball and baseball will be traveling to Oklahoma for tournaments this weekend.
Softball, following the cancelation of the Friends University Tournament, is now going to participate in the Oklahoma Baptist University Softball Festival in Shawnee, Okla. The team will play three contests with game one coming at 2:00 p.m. (CT) against Saint Gregory’s University on Friday; they will face Hastings College at 6:00 p.m. later that day. On Saturday, Mac will play guest to host school OBU at 2:00 p.m.
After having to call their first annual Bulldog Classic, the baseball team will also be playing in Shawnee, Oklahoma in a round-robin style tournament hosted by Oklahoma Baptist and Saint Gregory’s. Their first seven-inning competition comes on March 2nd as they take on Midland University at 11:00 a.m. followed up by OBU at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3 MC plays York College at 12:00 p.m. and SGU at 3:00 p.m.
Lady Bulldog softball’s next scheduled contest is March 5th against Central Christian College; start time is 5:00 p.m.
Baseball is scheduled to host Benedictine University on March 6th at 1:00 p.m. for their first home game of the season.
