Olathe, Kan. – McPherson baseball drops a 12-2 contest after a quick start by MidAmerica Nazarene University put the 'Dogs in too deep of a hole.  MC falls to 5-14 on the year.

It was a rough going from the get-go for Bulldog baseball as they found themselves down 8-1 after the first two innings.  After holding for the third and fourth, McPherson brought around one in the fifth to inch closer but then the Pioneers scored three more in the bottom half of the inning to pull further away; MNU scored their final run in the seventh, forcing the 10-run rule with their 12-2 victory.

The 'Dogs did a decent job hitting the ball as they logged nine hits in the seven-inning game.  Zach WilsonAustin Russell, and John Lauts each tabulated two; Lauts and Russell were responsible for Mac's two RBI.  Jordan Slaton got aboard safely twice via walks.

Loren Farley (Wellington, Kan.) starting things at the mound for McPherson, throwing for two innings before being relieved; he surrendered eight earned runs off of seven hits and three walks.  A slew of five Bulldogs finished out the game pitching, allowing a combined four earned runs, three hits and eight walks.

It's back to conference action for MC, they travel to play the University of Saint Mary on March 20th; start time is 1:00 p.m. (CT) for the doubleheader in Leavenworth.
