McPherson, Kan. – The score may read 3-0 but the MC volleyball team only lost by a total of 10 points in Friday's three-set match to Tabor College; 20-25, 23-25, 22-25.
Tabor jumped out to a huge lead in the opening set but Mac began chipping away, going two-for-one down the stretch. McPherson made a game of it late but their deficit was too much to overcome as TC won 25-20.
In the second, the two clubs went back-and-forth throughout the entire set. Tied at 22-22, the teams traded points but then the Bluejays were able to score two in a row, giving them the 25-23 win.
The third set was another tight battle. Tabor was the first to 20 points and then held on for the 25-22 victory.
On Senior Night, Taryn Lee once again led the team in kills; the senior had 12 on 29 attempts and also tallied two block assists for a total of 13 points.
Mac's two setters tallied 29 total assists with Maci Schlehuber logging 15 to Rhianna Smith's 14; Schlehuber also hit double-digits in digs with 12.
Emily Warner led the 'Dogs in digs with her 19; she also had two kills in the three-set match. Senior Micaela Dimitt tabbed seven digs and a service ace for the Bulldogs.

McPherson will head to Wichita, Kansas for their next match which is set for October 27th against Friends University; start time is set for 7:00 p.m. (CT)
