Box Score 4 Shawnee, Okla. – The Bulldogs knew heading into this weekend's games that things weren't going to be easy in their road contest with NAIA No. 4 Oklahoma Baptist University; the Bison played as advertised, sweeping McPherson.
"Like we told our players after the last game, we got exposed this series in all three phases by a very good team," said Coach Powell. "Our program can take this weekend one of two ways; we can let this be the standard for this team or we can let this be the turning point for the season. We'll find out which one we are going to take soon enough."
Friday, Game 1 – 17-1 OBU
After allowing three runs in the opening inning, Mac's Treyton DeVore settled down and pitched three-straight scoreless innings. However, in the fifth and sixth, Oklahoma Baptist scored 14 runs on 15 hits and five errors by the Bulldogs. John Feaster scored MC's lone run on an Evan Willow double in the seventh.
