Kansas City, Mo. – It was a low scoring day for the Lady Bulldog tennis squad as they began their Spring Break tour through Missouri with an 8-1 loss to NCAA D-II Rockhurst University. The team's sole point came at No. 1 doubles where Brooke and Nikki Vorhees won 8-0.
The other two doubles tandems dropped their matches 8-1 and 8-2.
In singles, B. Vorhees accumulated the most points with her 7-6, 6-4 defeat at No. 2 singles. In her first match of the spring, Nikki Thornburg competed well at No. 3 singles, but ended up losing 6-4, 6-3. The rest of the singles matches went relatively smoothly for Rockhurst.
McPherson will travel to Saint Louis where they will face NCAA D-II University of Missouri-St. Louis on March 15th starting at 11:00 a.m. (CT)
