Hillsboro, Kan. – The Lady Bulldog tennis team took down another KCAC opponent on Monday as they triumphed over Tabor College 8-1. Mac is still perfect in the conference at 5-0.
McPherson swept the doubles points and really only had trouble at No. 3 where Brittany Gourlay and Chandler Short went into overtime but would eventually prevail 9-7.
In singles, Nikki Vorhees dropped a tough match to the NAIA's No. 26 competitor at the top spot, but from then on, it was all wins for Mac. Nadine Baquiran records the match clinching point as she took down her opponent at No. 5 singles 6-0, 6-1. Gourlay had a tough first set at the No. 4 position, winning 7-6, but was able to blow by in the second, 6-0.
MC will host their final home match of the season this Thursday as the Friends University Falcons come to town for a 4:00 p.m. contest at the McPherson High School tennis courts.
