McPherson, Kan. – It was one of the quickest and cleanest matches for the Lady Bulldogs as they took down Friends University 9-0 on Senior Day; MC only gave up three points in the match.
In doubles, Mac was awarded a default point at No. 3, giving Chandler Short and Brittany Gourlay an easy win. The top two positions both won their matches 8-1.
In singles, Short again received a win by default to put McPherson ahead 4-0. Nadine Baquiran took the clinching point with her 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles. The Lady Bulldogs combined for a 60-1 score in singles with Nikki Thornburg dropping the lone point at the No. 3 position; she did win 6-0, 6-1.
MC will be looking to finish their regular season sweep of the KCAC tomorrow, April 21st, as they travel to Lindsborg, Kansas for a match against Bethany College which is set to start at 11:00 a.m. (CT)
