Kansas City, Mo. – The McPherson College women's tennis team played four matches in three days during their Spring Break trip. The Lady 'Dogs defeated both of the NAIA schools they competed against and lost to the pair of NCAA schools.
Mac started their trip with a battle against NCAA D-II Rockhurst University. The team lost 8-1 with Zoe Bouwmeester picking up the lone win in the match. Click here for the complete box score.
On Tuesday, the Bulldogs took on NAIA Graceland University and defeated the Yellowjackets 7-2. Lea Striegel and Deiah Curtis both won both their singles and doubles matches. Click here for the complete box score.
Later that day McPherson stayed in Kansas City to square off against NCAA D-I University of Missouri-Kansas City. The Roos swept MC with Nikki Vorhees and Bouwmeester coming the closest to winning at No. 1 doubles. Click here for the complete box score.
The final contest for Mac was down in Marshall, Missouri where they took down RV Missouri Valley College 5-4. The 'Dogs lost two of the three doubles points but then won all but two of the singles with Curtis having the most decisive win at the No. 5 position, 6-1, 6-2. Click here for the complete box score.
McPherson will travel to Baker University for a make-up match against the Wildcats on March 30th; start time is 11:00 a.m. (CT)
