Lady ‘Dogs Stay Unbeaten in KCAC

McPherson, Kan. – With just one match to play in the KCAC regular season, the McPherson College women's tennis team is in prime position to claim their third-straight conference title after defeating Tabor College 7-2 on Wednesday.

The No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams breezed to 8-0 victories.  Unfortunately, the Bulldogs were unable to sweep all the doubles points as the No. 1 combo of Zoe Bouwmeester and Lea Striegel fell 9-8.

In singles, McPherson won five of the six points to claim the victory.  Nadine Baquiran recorded the match clinching point with her 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 6 spot.  Also having a relatively easy go at it was No. 4 Nikki Thornburg who dispatched her opponent 6-1, 6-0.
