Football | 11/12/2018 6:36:00 PM

McPherson, Kan. – November 12, 2018 – McPherson College Athletics Director, Andrew Ehling, has announced that Football Coach, Paul Mierkiewicz, has resigned as the head coach of the Bulldogs effective immediately.

Mierkiewicz joined the Bulldogs in 2015, and guided the program to 7 wins in the past four seasons. This year's squad finished the season at 3-7 overall, and 3-7 in the KCAC, which tied their best effort, for overall record under Mierkiewicz, and the three conference wins were the most during his tenure.

During his time on the sidelines for the Bulldogs, Coach Mierkiewicz coached 9 NAIA Scholar All-Americans, 24 KCAC Scholar Athletes, and 34 of his players were named to the KCAC All-Conference teams.
"I would like to thank Coach Mierkiewicz for his work over the past four seasons," said Ehling "He is leaving the program in better shape than when he took over back in 2015, and for that I am grateful. I appreciated his hard work, and dedication to the athletes he coached, and I wish him and his family nothing but the best moving forward."

A search for the next Bulldog Football coach is underway.
