Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Tough Shooting Night for the Bulldogs at Tabor

Hillsboro, Kan. – The McPherson College women's basketball team is still looking for their first win of 2020, falling on the road on Saturday evening to the Tabor College Bluejays 82-51.

The Bulldogs could get very little going on the offensive end of the floor, shooting 38% from the field for the game and 29% from deep. The Bluejays on the other hand seemingly couldn't miss, knocking down 48% of their shot attempts, and going 12 of 26 from three point range.

Tabor led wire to wire, and extending their lead in after each quarter. The Bulldogs trailed by 6 (15-9) at the end of the first quarter, and by 17 (36-19) at the halftime intermission. At the end of the third quarter, the Bluejay lead had ballooned to 27 (59-32), and though they had their best offensive output (19 pts) in the fourth quarter, the period still belonged to the home team which scored 23 points.

The Bulldogs had just two players score in double figures, a 15 point performance from Brittany Roberts (Jr. Mansfield, Texas), and a 12 point showing from Maison Moseley (So. Woodward, Okla.).

With the loss, the Bulldogs find themselves two games below .500 at 9-11, and 5-9 in KCAC play. They will try and get one in the win column on Monday when they host the Friends University Falcons at 6 p.m. in the Sport Center.

MAC (51) – Roberts (15), Moseley (12), Hurst (5), Diaz (4), Holt (4), Branscum (4), Harlow (4), Gillen (2), Evans (1).
