McPherson, Kan. - The McPherson Women's basketball team lost to the Bethel Threshers Saturday night, 65-83. The loss dropped them to 12-15 on the season and 8-13 in KCAC play.
The Bulldogs had a very difficult time putting the ball in the hoop in this game. The team shot 11/36 in the first half, for the mathematically challenged that's 30.6 percent. The team could only manage two threes in the first half. The Bulldogs trailed 29-43 going into the half.
In the third quarter, Brittany Roberts (Jr. Mansfield, TX) went on one of her patented runs. She was one of the lone bright spots for the Bulldogs in this game as she finished with 23 points and 8 rebounds. The Bulldogs remained in the game, even outscoring the Threshers in the third quarter 23-21. However, they allowed 19 points in the fourth and could only manage 13.
The Bulldogs are back in action next Saturday at 5 p.m. on the road against Kansas Wesleyan.
