Bartlesville, Okla. – The McPherson College men's soccer team couldn't struggled on both sides of the ball on Friday night, falling to the #2 team in the nation, the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles, 8-0.
The Eagles jumped on the Bulldog early, scoring their first goal in the 11
th minute. They would add two more in the opening half to take a 3-0 lead into the break. In the second half, the Eagles continued to pour it on, scoring five more goals, staring just two and a half minutes into the frame.
Colby Swift, between the pipes for the Bulldogs, faced 21 shots on goal from the Eagles, and came away with 13 saves.
The loss drops the Bulldogs to 10-5 on the season, and 7-3 in KCAC action. They will be back on the pitch on Wednesday evening for a 7:30 pm match up, at McPherson Stadium, against the Ottawa University Braves.
