McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson College baseball team picked up two more wins on Saturday, sweeping the Dakota State University Trojans, and moving to 4-0 on the young season.
In game one, the Bulldogs had the offense going. They plated 11 runs on 9 hits, taking game 1, 11-0. They got a great performance on the mound from Alex Escobar, who pitched a one hit shutout with five strikeouts and one walk, earning the win.
In game two, the Bulldogs spotted the Trojans four runs before coming from behind to win, 5-4. Four of the Bulldogs' five runs came on homeruns by Noah Nelson, and Kyle Lux in the fifth inning. With the Trojans threatening in the top of the seventh with the tying run in scoring position. Sammy Grimm at second base, made a great play on a ground ball up the middle. He flipped the ball the shortstop Tyler Wood to get the final out.

Sunday's games with DSU were cancelled due to colder temps forecasted for the McPherson Area, so next up for the Bulldogs is a double header on Tuesday out at Bulldog Park against Missouri Valley College. First pitch is slated for 12:00 pm.
