McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson College softball team fell to 1-3 on the season, dropping a pair of games to nationally ranked Morningside College.
The Bulldogs couldn't get their offense going against the Mustangs, losing both games in five innings. The Bulldogs were shutout by the Mustangs in game one, 8-0 and then fell 10-1 in game two. Katy Wilson and Shelby Bonn combined for five innings of work, with Wilson picking up the loss. In the second game, Brandy Trengove went the distance and collared the loss.
Offensively, the Bulldogs were able to plate just one run on eight hits on the day, with three of those hits going for extra bases.
