York, Neb. – It was a historic night for the women's basketball team as they went on the road and defeated the York College Panthers 76-66.
At the 3:18 mark in the 4th quarter, Brittany Roberts (Sr. Mansfield, Texas) banked in an 8 footer for her 26th point of the night giving her 1572 for her career and making her the all-time points leader in Bulldog history. The previous record was 1570 set by Carol Zink, who played for the Bulldogs from 1984 to 1987.
The Bulldogs had a 12 point lead at halftime 40-28 and midway through the 3rd period had a comfortable 17 point lead. Over a ten minute span at the end of the 3rd and the start of the 4th a rash of turnovers gave the Panthers an opportunity to claw their way back into the game. The Panthers closed the gap to 4 with 2:46 left, but the Bulldogs were able to stop the bleeding, and pushed the lead back out to double digits when the clock hit zeros.
Key Statistic
The Bulldogs forced the Panthers into 28 turnovers, and then turned those miscues into 23 points on the other end of the floor.

Coach Quote
"Very proud of our team tonight. It's hard to win three straight on the road in six days. We battled through all night, and credit York they didn't back down at all. Brittany played a fantastic game and big congratulations on breaking the all-time scoring record. Maison stepped up for us in a big way and was clutch down the stretch. I am really proud of Tatum tonight. She played well off the bench and gave us points we needed. Erika had a nice game as well as she continues to get better. We have a huge game Saturday with Bethel we have now get ready for."
