McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson College volleyball team picked up another key win on Friday night, defeating the Sterling College warriors in straight sets. The Bulldogs trailed at some point in the first two sets, but found a way to fight back to take each set. In the third, they led from start to finish, to complete the sweep.
They opened the first set with a 4-0 run, but then allowed the Warriors to score the next seven points. They gathered themselves and finished off the set 25-20. In the second set, they trailed the Warriors 23-22, but then scored the final three points to win the set 25-23. In set three, the Warriors kept things close until the end when the Bulldogs won six of the final eight points to win 25-19.

The Bulldogs served up nine aces to just two for the visitors.

The Bulldogs hit .246 with 47 kills on 122 swings with 17 attack errors.
Forty-five of the Bulldogs' 47 kills had assists attached to them.
