After the Bulldogs win against Bethany to advance to play the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes. Earlier in the season when the Bulldogs met up with the Coyotes they lost in 3 sets to 1. McPherson had a rough start to the first set with Kansas Wesleyan taking a 0-6 lead. Senior #14 Kaci Chadwick gets a kill to get the Bulldogs on the board. Two big kills by #13 Katelyn Moore give the Coyotes only a 2 point lead. After a strand of Bulldog attacking errors the Coyotes run away with the first set 16-25.
Second set looked a lot better for the Bulldogs going point for point with Coyotes. Freshman #22 Abby Petera Aced the Coyotes to tie the game at 24 all. The Coyotes take the second set on a Bulldog hitting error 24-26.
Set Three opens up with back and forth kills from the Bulldogs and the Coyotes. Until point 12 McPherson was hanging with Kansas Wesleyan when the Coyotes put up a momentum changing block. But the Bulldogs fought back to give the Coyotes only a 4 point lead 18-22. The Coyotes kept the pressure on the Bulldogs to force an attacking error to win the 3rd set 25-18 and advanced on to the KCAC Championship.
The Bulldogs Finished the season 14-14 overall and 6-5 in conference.
