McPherson wins against York in overtime

After two back-to-back losses the Bulldogs traveled to York looking for a win.  After 12 minutes of the first half #1 Jamil Hardaway makes a layup and draws a foul for a and one to close the Panthers lead to only 4. Ending the half, the Panthers outscored the Bulldogs by 7 with the score going into the second half 43-50. McPherson takes the lead for the first time in the second half with a shot behind the arc from # Owen Braxmeyer 56-55.  The Panthers don't back down with a back and forth battle with the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are up by three with 14 seconds when a forced turnover gives the ball to the Panthers with a shot made and a made free throw York ties it up with 2 seconds on the clock. McPherson and York headed into overtime with the score 84-84.  Two shots made by # Curtis Rose put the Bulldogs up by 4 but the Panthers came back to take the lead 89-90. # Curtis Rose back at it again with a tip in, a jump shot, and a free throw to put the Bulldogs up by 4. The Bulldogs defeated the Panthers 94-90. McPherson's leader tonight was #12 Owen Braxmeyer with 17 points and 8 rebounds.

The Bulldogs Travel to Winfield, KS on Saturday (December 10th) to play the Southwestern College Mound Builders at 3:00 PM.
