Sterling, Kan. – The McPherson College women's basketball team wrapped up their season on Wednesday evening with a 88-68 loss to the Sterling College Warriors in the quarterfinals of the KCAC tournament.

The game was a tale of two halves, with nearly everything going right for the Bulldogs in the first 20 minutes, but then the script flipped in the second half. The Bulldogs shot 60% in the opening quarter and had an eight point lead 24-16 after the first 10 minutes. In the second quarter they continued to shoot the ball well, and at the midway point of the period led the top seeded Warriors by 11, 36-25. In the final five minutes of the half, the Warriors out-scored the Bulldogs 17-11 and cut the lead to five at the break, 47-42.

Things completely changed in the second half. The Warriors found their groove offensively, and the Bulldogs struggled making shots. Coach's Quote:

"Proud of our fight tonight. Our offensive game plan was the same as it has been all year long, to play inside out. While we are one the top teams in the conference at getting to the line we shot a season low seven free throws tonight and it changed the dynamics of how we attacked unfortunately. Really proud of our seniors Brittany, Maison, KB, Vic, Dymond, and Kia all played a fantastic game and gave us a chance to win."– Coach Nichols

 Wrap Up

The Bulldogs finish the year at 17-15 overall, and make it back to back seasons with a winning record.
