McPherson, Kan. – The Bulldog women's tennis team picked up another win on Monday, defeating the Bethel College Threshers 6-1 at the Bulldog Tennis Center. It was a beautiful day weather wise, something that has been rare thus far this spring. The Bulldog women took advantage of the nice weather winning seven of the nine matches played.
They opened the duel by winning the doubles point taking two of the three doubles matches. The Bulldogs were able to win on the no. 2 and no. 3 lines by the same score, 6-3. In singles, the Threshers gave the Bulldogs everything they wanted, but the more experienced Bulldog squad came through in the clutch, winning five of the six matches, three of them in three sets.

Coach President commented on the Bulldogs' win saying, "Great day in the office for Bulldog Tennis. The weather was great and the tennis matched that. Our women went out and got the job done. Having some tightly contested matches but were able to overcome and secure the wins in all 3 set matches. We now look forward to our Match against Kansas Wesleyan on Saturday!"
The Bulldog women are now 7-3 on the season and 4-1 in KCAC play. They will get a few days off before taking the court again on Saturday when they host the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes at Bulldog Tennis Center at 10:00 am.
