Bulldogs finally host the first home match in the Sport Center for the 2022 this season after a long fall of travel.
Bulldogs start out hot with a big kill #8 Bridget HcHugh giving the Bulldogs their first lead inset. McPherson rode that momentum to a 5-point swing before a timeout was called by Doane. Bulldogs go on to win the first set 25-11.
Bulldogs picked up right where they left off with a quick lead. #2 Cynarah Rodriguez keeps a key a rally alive which the Bulldogs capitalize on and continue to record back to back kils. McPherson went on another impressive run making it 17-7.#4 Emily Lesson got out to a quick start to give the Bulldogs the spark they needed going into the second set. Doane rallied back and took a 2-score lead when McPherson decided to take a time out to regroup. McPherson continued that momentum to a 4-point swing to make it 17-15. After a few rallies, the score was knotted up at 21-21 when Doane capitalized on a few miscues to make it 24-22 the Bulldogs quickly came back and tied it up 24-24. McPherson took the advantage first after a key block they then used an ace to take the set 26-24.
Bulldogs began the third hoping to complete the sweep, but started out slow. After an impressive rally, McPherson took the lead for the first time this set at 5-4. #24 Darcy Dodd once again sent a missile across the net to make it 8-7. Doane and McPherson had back-to-back rallies Doane took a 12-10 advantage, but a couple rallies later McPherson tied it up with a clutch block and then sent one over to gain the lead 13-12. The Bulldogs try and battle back but fall in set 3, 25-21.
Tigers controlled set 4 leaving the Bulldogs struggling to find rythm. Bulldogs fall in set 4, 25-17.
With the start of the fifth set, McPherson got out to a early lead, but the Tigers quickly go on run to seal the match. Bulldogs fal in 5.
