McPHERSON, Kan. — The York University Panthers scored three second half goals to knock off the McPherson College Bulldogs Wednesday night (Oct. 18) at McPherson Stadium.
Anthony Pereira gave the Bulldogs the early 1-0 lead in the 21st minute, running past everyone before beating Breno Prado for the goal.
However, the Panthers answered just over two minutes later with an Alvaro Ansede goal.
The Panthers grabbed the lead in the 66th minute and never looked back, scoring one more in the 75th minute and adding a late tally with less than two minutes to go in the game.
The Bulldogs finished with 16 shots, six of which came on net. Pereira led the way with two shots on goal, while Ben Weekly, Sergio Najera, Oliver Danzer, and Benedict Mbogga each added one. The Bulldogs also had 11 corner kicks.
Camden Wiseman got the call in net for the Bulldogs and made one save.
The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday (Oct. 21) when they travel to Ottawa. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
