LINDSBORG, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldogs fell to the Bethany College Swedes in the penultimate regular-season game Wednesday night (Feb. 15) in Lindsborg, Kan.
Baskets were hard to come by for the Bulldogs all night, falling into an 11-2 hole early before the Swedes made a 43-17 game at the break.
From there, Bethany led by as many as 35, but the Bulldogs outscored the Swedes 31-15 in the final frame.
The Bulldogs shot just 29.2 percent (19-for-65) from the field but went 20-for-29 from the charity stripe.
Dy'mond McElrath finished with 16 points to lead the Bulldogs (10-17, 7-14 KCAC), while Madelyn Hankins scored 15 points.
The Bulldogs wrap up the regular season on the road against Bethel College in North Newton, Kan. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
