LEAVENWORTH, Kan. — The McPherson College men's cross country team finished eighth at the KCAC Championships Saturday.
The Bulldogs were led by Brock Lauer's outstanding 14th-place effort. He crossed the finish line in 25:52.75. Lauer will earn a trip to Columbia, Mo. for the NAIA National Championships.
Cody Kuss snagged a 25th-place effort after reaching the finish line in 27:11.55. Isaac Hale accounted for 47th place with a mark of 29:21.57. Parker Roberts was not far behind Hale, snagging 52nd place. He tallied a time of 29:46.26. Austin Glezen posted a time of 40:13.72, which was good enough for 78th place.
St. Mary won the KCAC Championship with 22 points. Kansas Wesleyan (42 points), Evangel (95 points), Tabor (123 points) and Friends (150 points) rounded out the top five spots.
McPherson tallied 216 points at the race. The team bested Southwestern, Ottawa, Sterling, York and Oklahoma Wesleyan.
The Bulldogs return to action Friday, No v. 22 at the NAIA National Championships in Columbia, Mo.
