LEAVENWORTH, Kan. — It's was a tough finish to the 2024 season for the Bulldogs as they found themselves on the wrong end of a 5-0 final score against the University of Saint Mary Spires on Saturday night (Nov. 2).
McPherson had their chances on offense, recording five shots on goal in the contest. The first coming in the 9
th minute as Lilly Lougheed and
Gracie Speltz both saw their shots saved by the Saint Mary goalkeeper. Speltz once again had a shot saved in the 87
th minute and a pair of shots by
Courtney Wickham in the 88
th minute and
Caitlin Buendia in the 89
th minute suffered the same fate.
All five of the goals came from five different boots as Jadyn McBurney started the party in the 14
th minute and was followed up by Rebecca Lord in the 27
th minute. Josie Hallier added on in the 48
th and 49
th minutes with a pair of goals while Katie Hartley scored the fifth and final goal in the 82
nd minute.
This game marks the end of the 2024 season for the Bulldogs as they finish the season 2-14-2.
