McPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldogs women's tennis squad finished off the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles 7-0 Saturday (Mar. 23) at the Bulldog Tennis Center to remain unbeaten in KCAC Play.
The Bulldogs secured the doubles point, thanks to a 6-1 win by the team of Grace Maxey and Alexa Garcia.
Due to the Eagles having just five players, the Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead into the singles competition. Vanessa Hofer made it a 3-0 Bulldog advantage with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Nikoleta Aleksic, then Taimi Nashiku clinched the victory with a 7-6 (2), 6-2 win.
MC wasn't done there when Maddie Dobson knocked off Aliza Hays 6-1, 6-0, then Maxey finished off Nancy Henderson on court one, winning 7-6 (5), 6-4. Garcia completed the sweep with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Madeline Henderson.
The Bulldogs are back at the Bulldog Tennis Center Thursday (Mar. 28) taking on Tabor College.
