McPHERSON, Kan. — The No. 18-ranked McPherson College Bulldogs completed the sweep of the Evangel University Valor Saturday (Apr. 6) at the Bulldog Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs made quick work of the doubles point thanks to a 6-0 sweep by Nardy/Botlan and a 6-1 win by Marcano/Brouwer. Beltran/Millos completed the sweep of the doubles competition with a 6-3 win.
MC took a 3-0 lead following matching 6-0, 6-1 wins by Daniel Marcano and Arthur Nardy, then Marcus Nardy clinched the victory with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Vinicius Costa.
Celien Botlan opened the second wave of the singles competition with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Tiago Galloppo, then Oscar Brouwer pushed the lead to 6-0 with a 6-2, 6-4 victory. Simon Delgadillo finished off the sweep, knocking off James McIlrwraith 6-4, 7-5.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday (Apr. 9) when they travel to take on Emporia State University.
