McPherson, Kan. – The Bulldogs were in Salina, Kansas on Wednesday night for a matchup with the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes. McPherson looked to bounce back from a narrow 1-0 loss to Avila on Sunday, while the Coyotes aimed to extend their win streak to three.

How it Happened
Kansas Wesleyan came out on the attack early, firing off four quick shots and ringing one off the crossbar. Goalkeeper 
Emily Singletary came up big with a pair of early saves, but the Coyotes broke through in the 32
nd minute when Kendall Davis headed in a free kick. Singletary added her fifth save of the half just before the break to keep the Bulldogs within one.
 
The Coyotes doubled their advantage in the 58
th minute, converting a penalty kick following a handball inside the box from the Bulldogs. Less than ten minute later, the Bulldogs answered as 
Ayden Jones cut the deficit in half. Jones took a touch around a defender and ripped a shot from outside the box into the upper corner, leaving the Coyotes' keeper with no chance.
 
Unable to find an equalizer, McPherson fell to Kansas Wesleyan 2-1 in their final road match of the regular season.
