WICHITA, Kan. — Following a solid season for the Bulldogs, Curtis Rose has been named to the All-KCAC Third Team, while Collin Storr has been selected as an All-KCAC Honorable Mention, the league announced Tuesday (Feb. 25).
"I'm very happy for both Curtis and Collin," head coach TJ Eskildsen said. "They both have had tremendous seasons for us and have been a huge part of our success. Not only are these two young men good basketball players but they are great people as well."
Rose, a native of Midwest City, Okla., has had an outstanding year, setting career-bests in points (408), rebounds (147), assists (96), and steals (46). He paced the Bulldogs with 14.6 points per game and 3.4 assists per game. Rose has been on a tear over the last month of the season, scoring 17.6 points per game in the month of February.
"We have felt that Curtis is one of the best Point Guards in the KCAC all season," Eskildsen said.
In his second season with the Bulldogs, Storr has been a solid forward, coming second on the team with 12.3 points per game, and leading the squad with 7.1 rebounds per game. His shining performance came back in December, scoring a career-best 34 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. Storr finished the regular season fourth in the KCAC in field goal percentage, shooting at a 59.5 percent clip.
"Collin has been a dominate presence inside for us and someone that effects the game in a lot of ways," Eskildsen said.
Rose, Storr, and the Bulldogs hit the road tonight (Feb. 26) for the quarterfinal round of the KCAC Tournament, where they will square off against the second-seeded Friends University Falcons. The team's split the regular season series with each team winning on the road. Tickets can be purchased HERE. No tickets will be sold at the gate.
