MCPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson College men's tennis team posted a 4-3 victory against Missouri Valley College Monday.
The Bulldogs are now 5-2 on the season.
Head coach
Craig Holman's squad took the doubles point after sweeping all three matches.
Celien Botlan and
Oscar Brouwer tallied a 6-3 victory at the number one slot. The tandem of
Arthur Nardy and
Jayson Wasserfuhr recorded a 6-3 victory at the number two position. The tandem of
Simon Delgadillo and
Texas Ranger Schmidt needed to play a bit longer in the first set but won 7-6 (7-3).
Brower pushed the margin to 2-0 with his 6-4, 6-3 win at the number singles slot.
Balazs Temesvari garnered a 6-2, 6-4 victory at number six, extending the advantage to 3-0.
Botlan secured the team victory with a 6-4, 6-3 win at the number three slot.
The Bulldogs return to action when they host the University of Saint Mary (Kan.) Thursday in the KCAC opener at 2 p.m.
