MCPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson College women's tennis team earned a 5-2 victory over Missouri Valley College Monday afternoon.
The Bulldogs are now 6-2 on the season.

Craig Holman's team jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after securing the doubles point.
Bella Ellerbee and
Pia Hinricher started things off with a 6-1 win at number three doubles. The tandem of
Taimi Nashiku and
Laureen Van Drunen garnered a 6-1 win at the number two position, earning the overall point for the home team.
Nashiku pushed the margin to 2-0 after posting a 6-1, 6-1 victory at number three singles. Hinricher quickly propelled the Bulldogs to a 3-0 lead with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at number five.
Leading 3-1, Ellerbee secured a forfeit win at number six, securing the overall win for McPherson College.
Alexandria Garcia accounted for a 6-1, 6-0 victory at number two for the final point in the win.
The Bulldogs return to action Thursday when they host the University of Saint Mary (Kan.) in the KCAC opener at 2 p.m.
