ST. LOUIS, Mo.- The McPherson College men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 match at Missouri – St. Louis Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs are now 6-3 on the season.
In doubles action, top-seeded
Celien Botlan and
Oscar Brouwer dropped a hard-fought 6-4 match.
Simon Delgadillo and
Texas Ranger Schmidt fell by the same score at the No. 3 slot. The tandem of
Arthur Nardy and
Jayson Wasserfuhr lost a 6-2 match at the No. 2 spot.
In singles action, Wasserfuhr pushed his foe to the brink at No. 4, but lost a 6-4, 6-0 match. Botlan, the No. 3 standout, dropped a 6-3, 6-3 match.
Balazs Temesvari put forth a solid match. However, he lost a 6-3, 6-3 contest at No. 6.
Ardy, Brouwer and Delgadillo all had unfinished matches. Ardy took his foe to extra points before falling behind 7-6 (7-5) when the match was called.
The Bulldogs return to action Monday when they play at Campbellsville at 1 p.m.
