NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – The McPherson College men's track and field team had a tremendous showing at the Bethel Invite on Saturday.
Head coach
Tracy Jex's team was paced by Koe Brown's title in the 100m. Brown clocked a time of 10.67 for the victory.
He also showcased his speed with a bronze medal effort in the 200m, crossing the line in 22.17. Fellow Bulldogs
Austin Glezen (19
th – 24.82),
Travis Stevens (22
nd – 25.30) and Jonathan Willie (23
rd – 25.65) turned in solid efforts in the event.
Amarion White recorded a fourth-place effort in the 110m hurdles. He accounted for a time of 15.69.
Cody Kuss and
Isaac Hale earned top-10 finishes in the 800m. Kuss posted a time of 2:07.89 for sixth while Hale's time of 2:25.58 was good enough for 10
th. The duo also had top-10 efforts in the 1,500m. Kuss clocked a time of 4:22.06 for seventh place while Hale once again took 10
th with a mark of 4:53.02. Glezen notched a 14
th-place finish in the 400m, reaching the finish line in 53.79. Stevens was not far behind, taking 19
th with a time of 55.82.
In the field events, Brown tallied a fifth-place effort in the long jump with a mark of 6.40m.
Lamar Gordon earned a 10
th-place finish in the shot put after posting a mark of 13.54m. Kamden Tackett was 21
st with an effort of 10.60m. Gordon accounted for a third-place effort in the discus with a mark of 44.95m. Tackett earned a 13
th-place finish in the javelin with an effort of 32.02m.
The Bulldogs return to action March 28-29 at the OBU Invitational.
