MCPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson College women's tennis team swept Bethany College Wednesday by a 7-0 score.

In doubles action, top-seeded
Bella Ellerbee and
Taimi Nashiku combined to take down their opposition by a score of 6-2. Second-seeded
Pia Hinricher and
Laureen Van Drunen teamed up for a 6-0 blanking of their opposition at the number two spot.
Ava Bolin and
Maddie Dobson combined for a 6-1 victory at the number three slot, securing the sweep for a 1-0 lead.
Alexandria Garcia notched a 6-1, 6-0 victory at the top singles position. Nashiku, seeing time at the number two spot, took home a 6-0, 6-2 victory over her foe. Van Drunen accounted for a 6-2, 6-2 victory at the number three spot while Hinricher claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win at number four. Ellerbee needed a little more time in her first set, but ended up cruising to a 7-5, 6-0 victory at the number five position. Bolin swept her opponent at number six, winning 6-0, 6-0.
The Bulldogs return to action Saturday, March 29, when they play at Ottawa at 3 p.m. in a KCAC clash.
