Box Score MCPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson College women's tennis team cruised to a 6-1 victory at Sterling College Monday afternoon.
The Bulldogs are now 13-7 overall, including 7-0 in league play.
In doubles action,
Vanessa Hofer and
Alexandria Garcia teamed up for a 6-1 victory at the top spot.
Taimi Nashiku and
Bella Ellerbee combined for an identical 6-1 win at the number two position.
Laureen Van Drunen and
Pia Hinricher posted a clean sheet for the 6-0 win at the number three slot.
Singles play saw the Bulldogs continue their solid play. Garcia took home the 6-3, 6-0 win at number one. Hofer recorded a 6-2, 6-2 win at the number two spot while Nashiku claimed a 6-2, 6-0 victory at number three. Van Drunen tallied a hard-fought 6-4, 7-6 win at number four. Ellerbee closed out the victory with a 6-2, 6- win at number six.
The Bulldogs return to action Thursday, Apr. 10, when they play at Avila starting at 2 p.m.
