McPherson, Kan. – On Wednesday night under the lights, McPherson began conference play at home against Tabor College. Tabor had only dropped one match in their first five of the season, while the Bulldogs entered conference play with a recent 1-0 win over Doane University.

From the opening whistle, both teams battled to establish possession and seize early momentum. The Bulldogs generated the first look at goal when
Gracie Speltz fired the opening shot of the match, testing the Bluejays goalkeeper. Tabor answered with sustained pressure, firing five more shots than McPherson in the first half, but goalkeeper
Emily Singletary came up clutch with four saves to keep the contest level at 0-0 heading into the break.
The Bulldogs came out strong to start the second half, nearly breaking through when Ariana Diaz connected on the end of a free kick, but was unable to find the back of the net. Tensions rose in the 60
th minute as
Courtney Ward was booked for the match's lone yellow card. The Bulldogs best chance came in the 81
st minute when
Ayden Jones found herself one on one with the keeper, her shot rattling off the crossbar. McPherson finished the half with five shots on target, bringing their total on the night to eight, while Singletary capped off her performance with eight total saves.
Despite chances on both ends, neither side found the breakthrough and the match ended in a scoreless draw at 0-0.
