McPherson, Kan. – This past weekend, the Bulldogs put on a show at the McPherson Volleyball Invitational, sweeping all four of their matches to finish 4-0 and climb to 12-1 on the season.
Thursday, September 4th
Score: McPherson 3, Central Methodist 0
In game one of the McPherson Invitational, the Bulldogs rolled to a straight set win 25-13, 25-20, 25-19.
Enya Fierens controlled the net with five blocks, while
Brooke McHale powered the offense with nine kills. Each set saw McPherson pull away with momentum-shifting runs the Eagle couldn't match.
Friday, September 5th
Score: McPherson 3, Columbia 0
McPherson jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the opening set, but Columbia quickly shifted the momentum to take a 14-11 lead midway through. The Bulldogs responded, regaining control and winning the set 19-25. Set two told a different story, as McPherson controlled the pace from start to finish to build a 2-0 lead. The Bulldogs closed out the match in set three, rattling off seven straight points to seal the win.
Saturday, September 6th
Score: McPherson 3, William Penn 0
To open the final day of the McPherson Invitation, the Bulldogs delivered another strong performance, sweeping William Penn in three straight sets.
Katie Warden dominated at the net with 12 kills and two blocks, while McPherson's serve proved just as effective, racking up 12 aces, highlighted by three from
Tabor Scanlon.

The Bulldogs came out strong, winning set one 25-11 behind an impressive .591 hitting percentage. Set two was a closer contest with the Tigers battling until McPherson was able to pull away, scoring 11 of the final 15 points to go up 2-0. The third set was all McPherson, powered by four aces and twelve kills to close out the sweep. Their .500 hitting percentage against the Tigers marked a new season high.
