Sterling, Kan – Rounding out their road trip over the last two weeks, the Bulldogs made the quick trip to the Gleason Center for a contest with the Sterling College Warriors. McPherson came into the matchup with a four-game winning streak while the Warriors looked to end a streak of five consecutive losses approaching the final stages of the regular season.

How it Happened
In the opening half of this matchup, it would be a low-scoring affair between the Bulldogs and the Warriors. In similar fashion to the previous Saturday,
Tarrance Austin would lead the visitors offensively in the first half with eight points and four rebounds. McPherson would shoot 34% from the floor in the first half and take just six attempts from beyond the arc, with Austin and
Korbin Gunn finding the lone two to fall.
Sterling faced more extreme issues on offense as the Warriors shot a mere 21% from inside the arc and found just one three-point attempt to drop from Damond Daniels.
Labron Wilson played incredibly strong defensively for the Bulldogs as he totaled two blocks and a steal in the half with three rebounds. McPherson held a 30-22 lead heading into the halftime break.
The Warriors didn't shy away from the Bulldogs in any way. Typically when the Bulldogs have had a multiple possession lead heading into the locker room at halftime, they have either grew the lead or maintained their margin. In this game, the Warriors fought tooth and nail to find themselves with the lead after Ziri Blackwood's three-pointer at the 10:32 mark of the half. With the lead pinballing between the two sides for the next two minutes, McPherson took the lead back for good with 8:03 left after
Quran McKinney's perfect trip to the charity stripe.
Sterling would make this game close in the dying stages, but the Bulldogs hit their free throws when it mattered and took the 67-63 victory over the Warriors.
