McPherson, Kan. – The Bulldogs made the short trip across town on Tuesday night for another Collegiate Cup clash with the Central Christian College Tigers. McPherson entered the matchup on a three-game skid, with Central Christian in the same boat after three of four against Southwestern Christian.

How it Happened
McPherson wasted no time getting things going, jumping on the board with a two-run first inning. A double from
Samantha Hollingsworth brought
Savannah Robles across for the game's opening run, and
Hailey Shubin followed with an RBI single to plate Hollingsworth. Central Christian answered in the bottom half, cutting the deficit to 2-1 with a single to right center.
The Bulldogs added to their lead the following inning, adding three more runs to extend their lead. Robles picked up an RBI single to score
Andrea Solis, who reached on a Tigers error.
Emma Puebla came home on a sacrifice fly from Hollingsworth, and
Victoria Thornton capped the inning with an RBI double to score Robles for her second run of the game, pushing McPherson's lead to 5-1.
Central Christian found the response they needed in the bottom of the fourth inning, capitalizing on early traffic on the bases. With two runners on, Ciara Valadez delivered a two-RBI single. The Tigers added two more runs before McPherson could get out of the inning.
Abby Schleisman gave the Tigers their first lead of the game in the fifth after sending a solo shot over the center field wall, but McPherson answered right away.
Sidney Larrew matched it with a solo shot of her own, knotting things back up and keeping the game deadlocked at 6-6.
Central Christian delivered the decisive blow in the sixth, stringing together three runs to take a 9-6 lead. McPherson couldn't find a late response over their final at-bats, as the Tigers held on for the win.
