McPherson, Kan - The Bulldogs enter the 2026 summer following a successful year of athletics from the 2025-2026 seasons. With the approaching Pat Noyes Golf Experience and Bulldog Athletic Banquet on the horizon, this gives us a great chance to recap the year and remember what made this year such an exciting one for McPherson College.

Jeremiah Fiscus and the Bulldogs finished the 2025 Football season with a 9-2 record, the best record for McPherson in the last 15 years for the program. The offense was led by NAIA 2
nd Team All-American Jalil Brown who finished the year with 1,555 all-purpose yards and 17 total touchdowns, averaging 7.3 yards per touch. Defensively, Kenny Ray was named to the NAIA 3
rd Team All-American list after racking up 47 tackles, 7 sacks, and 12.5 TFLs.

Under first year Head Coach Ian Thomson, Women's Soccer wrapped up their 2025 year with their best record since 2017 with a 6-9-3 overall record, narrowly missing the KCAC playoffs. Men's Soccer appeared in the KCAC Quarterfinal for the first time since 2022, finishing with a record of 7-9-3 and three All-KCAC selections.

First-year head coach Hannah Showalter led the Men's & Women's Cross Country programs to personal-best times for all runners throughout the 2025 fall seasons. Brian Fackert took first in McPherson's Carol Swenson Invite and fifth in the KCAC Cross Country Championships, qualifying for the NAIA Cross Country Championships.

Volleyball ended their stellar season in the NAIA National Quarterfinal; this was the first time a KCAC school had made it out of the pool play round in the National Tournament. Under head coach Cory Cahill, the Bulldogs posted a 34-3 record and captured the KCAC Regular Season Title.

TJ Eskildsen and the Men's Basketball program had a palpable year in the Holman Fieldhouse, ending their year with a 20-10 (16-6 KCAC) record and an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round. The Bulldogs also hosted their first KCAC Quarterfinal since 2022. Women's Basketball, led by first-year head coach Alex Moorehead, improved significantly from the previous year, finishing with eight more wins than the year before. The Bulldogs started their year off with a five-game win streak and put up tight battles against teams across the KCAC throughout the year.
In just their third year of the program, third-year head coach Mitchell Whitehead and the Bulldogs posted three top five finishes and five top ten finishes this season, finishing their year with a ninth place finish in the USBC ITC Sectionals in Addison, Illinois. Their best finish of the year came in the NAIA West Tournament on February 8
th where they placed third out of 17 teams in Lawrence, Kansas.

Toni Snyder and the Competitive Cheer squad wrapped up their successful year at the NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida where they placed fourth in their final competition of the season. The highlight of their campaign was their back-to-back first place finishes at the Dog House Classic on March 7
th.

During the Indoor Track & Field season, first-year head coach EJ Daffin and the Bulldogs found themselves on the podium multiple times. Lamar Gordon finished first place in the KCAC Championships in the Shot Put with a throw of 15.72m; Gordon's throw was good enough to qualify for the NAIA National Championships in Gainesville, Florida. Kara Alexander also took first in the Shot Put at the KCAC Championships for the Bulldogs with a distance of 12.71m.

During the spring seasons, Baseball rounded out their year in the KCAC Semifinals after posting a 28-24 (22-14 KCAC) overall record. In the final stretch of the regular season, the Bulldogs went 13-5 and secured the third seed in the KCAC Tournament.

In her first year with the Softball program, head coach Kristen Silva added five more wins to the Bulldogs' record from the previous year. Similar to Baseball's final stretch of the regular season, the Bulldogs won six of their last seven games at the end of their campaign.

Men's and Women's Tennis both finished the year with winning records at the completion of their seasons. The Men's program posted a 13-9 (10-2 KCAC) overall record and finished their year in the KCAC Semifinal. Women's Tennis put up a 15-8 (10-2 KCAC) record and also concluded their 2026 campaign in the KCAC Semifinal.

Outdoor Track & Field finished their season in late May with a statement performance from Lamar Gordon once again. Gordon won the NAIA National Championship in the Shot Put with a throw of 18.31m, the largest throw of the season across the NAIA. Brian Fackert made an appearance at the National Championships in the 1500m event. After making it through the first day, Fackert finished 12
th in the finals after a tremendous final lap effort.

The first athletic event of the 2026-27 year for the Bulldogs will be Men's Soccer season-opener on the road at Baker University on August 20
