In 2003, Quint was tapped to resurrect the McPherson men's and women's programs after a two-year hiatus. He was quickly able to raise both programs to contender status within the
KCAC. In just four years, Quint led the Bulldog women to conference and regional championships. He also mentored McPherson College’s first NAIA All-American in Victoria Salas. His 2007 women’s team is still considered the best women’s team to ever take the field. With mostly freshman, the team finished 13-6-1 overall losing in the penalty’s in the conference championships.
Quint stepped down as the women’s coach at the end of the 2007 season and transitioned into the role of Athletic Director, until the winter of 2014. In the spring of 2015, McPherson College transitioned Quint back into the role of Head Soccer Coach for both programs.
Prior to Quint’s arrival at McPherson, he was the boys' soccer coach at Hutchinson High School (2000-2002). During that time, his Salthawk teams were a force in the state of Kansas. In three years, his teams won two league championships, two regional championships and made two consecutive appearance in the 6A State Championships. He also was instrumental in building the city's first soccer complex with his father, while directing Club Azzurri and the Hutchinson Youth Soccer Association. Quint also served on staff for Kansas Olympic Development.
Quint holds a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma and multiple USSF Licenses.
Doug and his wife, Jenny, have two sons and a daughter - Kaden, Sydney and Devin.
