Kenton Rocheford

Kenton Rocheford will be entering his third season as the Running Backs and Tight Ends coach at McPherson College. Rocheford also serves as the football program’s Academic and Social Media Coordinator.

Coaching Highlights

Rocheford has coached one of the most accomplished offensive players in program history in Jalil Brown. Brown earned 2025 Second Team All-American honors, was named the KCAC Offensive Player of the Year in both 2024 (Co-Offensive Player of the Year) and 2025, and was a two-time First Team All-KCAC Running Back. In 2024, he rushed for 1,099 yards and 14 touchdowns while adding 432 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns, totaling 1,551 all-purpose yards and 18 touchdowns. He followed that with 1,222 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns in 2025, adding 333 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns for 1,555 all-purpose yards and 17 total touchdowns.

Rocheford also coached several other All-KCAC performers, including First Team All-KCAC Tight End Harley Blaske in 2024, who recorded 13 receptions for 172 yards and three touchdowns, Honorable Mention All-KCAC Fullback Adryan Rodriguez in 2024, and Second Team All-KCAC Fullback Brayton Dewell in 2025. In addition to their athletic accomplishments, Harley Blaske (2024) and Brysen Kerby (2025) were recognized as KCAC Champions of Character, highlighting the leadership and character displayed by the position group both on and off the field.

Rocheford came to McPherson College following a brief stint as the Special Teams Coordinator, Wide Receivers coach, and Tight Ends coach at Missouri Baptist University. While at MBU, Rocheford’s Tight Ends unit earned top rankings in receptions and receiving yards for all units in the MSFA West division during 2022. In 2023, Rocheford coached Gavin Claud to a 2nd Team All-HAAC South selection at wide receiver. Claud finished the season with 44 receptions, 704 yards, and 4 touchdowns in 9 games played. Rocheford’s special teams' units ranked in the top 25 in the NAIA in multiple categories in both 2022 and 2023.

Playing Highlights
Before arriving at MBU, Rocheford played collegiately at Sterling College for four years where he helped the Warriors win a KCAC title in 2017. Rocheford saw action or started in nearly 40 straight games and was also a three-time All-KCAC Academic selection during his playing career.
