Bulldog men storm past John Brown University, while women struggle

McPherson, Kan. – Playing outside for the first time of the season, the McPherson College men’s and women’s tennis teams matchup up with John Brown University, on Friday, March 5 in McPherson. The men defeated JBU, 9-0, while the women lost 1-8.

The Bulldogs captured the doubles points after all three men’s teams won their matches.

In singles, all six Bulldog men won in straight sets, including No. 1 freshman Vacheslav Bukatin, 6-0, over Tim Meyer of JBU.

On the women’s side, McPherson’s only point was gained when senior Mallory Griggs and doubles partner Madelene Jackle defeated Bogdanoff and Dye, 8-6.

The Bulldogs return to action Thursday, March 11 when they face off against Central Christian College at 3:00 p.m.
