North Newton, Kan. – The McPherson College women’s tennis team looked to pick up its first KCAC win of the season against Bethel College on Monday afternoon, but the Threshers held serve with a 9-0 win over the Bulldogs.
With the loss, McPherson falls to 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in KCAC action, while Bethel improves to 8-3 and 2-0 in conference play.
The closest matches of the day came at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions, as McPherson’s Haley Cook fell, 8-3, to Allison Kaster and Katie Doffing dropped her match to Shayne Runnion, 6-4, 6-2, respectively.
The Bulldogs return to the court on Thursday, April 15, to take on the Tabor College Blue Jays. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m. in McPherson, Kan.
