McPherson, Kan. – Following an impressive 3-0 shutout victory against the University of Saint Mary to open conference play, the McPherson College women’s soccer team continues its run through the KCAC schedule with a home match against Tabor College on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. before wrapping up the week at Ottawa University on Saturday. Kickoff between the Bulldogs and Braves is scheduled for 5 p.m.
McPherson enters the week’s matches with tremendous momentum, as the Bulldogs have not allowed a goal in their last two matches. The Bulldogs wrapped up non-conference action last Wednesday with a 2-0 victory at Central Christian College before posting their second shutout of the week, 3-0, against the Spires.
Senior defender
Whitney Smith (South Jordan, Utah) led the Bulldogs on both sides of the attack last week. Smith has provided a consistent force from her central defender position all season, but reached new heights last Saturday, as she scored goals in the 12
th and 81
st minute against the Spires. The two goals are the first of her career.
Both games will be streamed live on the KCAC Broadcast Network with live stats provided by DakStats.
Next week, McPherson hits the road for matches against Bethel College and Friends University.
