Box Score
McPherson, Kan. – It was a game that was played mostly on MC's offensive side as the Lady 'Dogs took out Bethel College 1-0. Following their victory over the Lady Threshers, Mac soccer is 1-0 against KCAC foes and 2-6-1 overall.
After 75 minutes, the McPherson bombardment against Bethel finally paid off as Jessica Dominguez (Colorado Springs, Colo.) slotted one coming off an Amy Stockton (Manhattan, Kan.) assist. MC would then hold off the Threshers for the remaining 15 minutes.
The Bulldogs clearly owned the game as they attempted 28 total shots and placed 12 on goal, 11 of which were saved by the BC goalkeeper. Dominguez, Haley Anderson (Highland Village, Texas) and Gabriela Navarro (Wichita, Kan.) led all shooters with their five shot attempts; Anderson and Navarro put two on target while Dominguez tallied three on frame.
The Mac defense held the Threshers to five shots with three requiring a save by freshman Caitlyn Blagrave (Rio Rancho, N.M.) in her first game back from injury.
MC will take to the road for their next conference game as they travel to play Kansas Wesleyan on Tuesday, October 8; the 8:30 p.m. contest will be played at Salina Stadium.
